Bitterness sets in and. it is said that bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness "is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die." I am saying this because I know what it is like to be done wrong by someone so much that I had allowed bitterness to set in. I had to move on, and I am thankful that God can help me with that. I had to ask for forgiveness myself for holding that bitterness. And in letting that person "free," I have found (as my pastor said) that the jail I opened was my own.
