I think society as a "general rule" doesn't understand that concept anymore. That's not showing off - it's doing your best because your focus is different than one who isn't a believer in Jesus. Like Colossians 3:23 states: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men." There's the Driver - not arrogance or being a show-off. Keep on keeping on for God! Bob Jeff,

Whatever happened to the idea of the “Christian work ethic?” I think society as a “general rule” doesn’t understand that concept anymore. That’s not showing off – it’s doing your best because your focus is different than one who isn’t a believer in Jesus.
