Jeff,

No, I can't remember Jesus ever being calling a show off or overachiever. Like a friend of mine used to say: "When your good at something, it isn't arrogance, but confidence." Jesus is the best - that's ultimate confidence!

What you are will show in what you do. -- Thomas Edison

To whom much gas been given, much will be required. - Bible

If your goal isn't impossible, you're not reaching high enough. - (guess)

Bob, thanks again for your contribution and insight. You're correct Bob. I never heard anyone call Jesus a show off. Have you?

Jeff,

Whatever happened to the idea of the "Christian work ethic?" I think society as a "general rule" doesn't understand that concept anymore. That's not showing off - it's doing your best because your focus is different than one who isn't a believer in Jesus.

Like Colossians 3:23 states: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men." There's the Driver - not arrogance or being a show-off.

Keep on keeping on for God!
