Are there activities, harmless on the surface, that others may do, but you may not?
There are, even if you can’t recognize them.
Tonight, there’s a get together of old friends, celebrating a recent wedding.
It’s BYOB, and some will drink adult beverages and loosen up their inhibitions and enjoy the buzz that alcohol so reliably brings.
Which always reminds me of one of life’s greatest lessons: Others may, you may not.

Incredibly admire your strength, my good man!
oh yeah, see the avatar?
God is my strength brother. Otherwise, there’d be no reason to be strong.
PS. Nice avatar.
Nice insight. So there were no adult bevs consumed — lots of soda and water available, though. Great times don’t come from mass consumption of adult beverages (which is why I didn’t furnish any) but from the personal connections we make. Maybe for some that comes from wearing down inhibitions w/ social lubricant, for others just the company does it. Seems that the wonderful folks who came were more the latter and less the former — at least this time.
Thanks for the interesting reads. Will do so again…
Hugs!
Gwen, that was one of the very first things I noticed.
I’ve learned how to live with parties, dry or not.
Makes no difference.
My choice is always the same.
So nice to have you visit and comment.
C-ya real soon….
