Beach House On An Island Somewhere?
Passion may also look like the answers we’d give to the questions we’ve all heard before:
“What would you do if you knew you could not fail?”
“What would you do for a job, if you didn’t need to work for money?”
“What would you do if you won the lottery?”

I know in my Organizational Behavior class that I teach, we talk a lot about what your passion is and how to go about fulfilling it. Interestingly, I can almost guarantee that when the discussion starts, someone (if not more than one) will invariably begin with, “If money were no object, I would…” I normally follow up with, “So you are willing to be dissatisfied at the expense of making money? Why can’t it be both? Is it possible to do something you love and get paid to do it?”
That’s the basis for goal-setting. That’s the crux of it all. Are you willing to make a sacrifice to reach a goal (your passion), or do you let your circumstances stymie you passion?
Believe me – there are days when I say to myself, “Are you tired yet from trying to reach that goal?” And yes, there are days I just want to give up. Sometimes the path of least resistence may not be fun, but it is easier and sets yourself up for less opportunities for disappointment. But in the end, the greater disappointment is not trying and wishing I had. So I keep reaching.
