   Jeff,

   The first sentence is key. We have often seen the duality in our lives and in others where we have our “church” life and then we have the rest of the week.

   To serve others, every day, is a challenge. Adopting a servant attitude in everything we do every day starts by putting others ahead of ourselves. It does not mean we neglect our own needs (physical, emotional, spiritual).

   “Give me the heart of a servant, tender and faithful and true.
   Fill me with love, then use me, O Lord, so that the world can see You.”

   David, this morning’s sermon was about about humility, unbeknownst to me when writing this post a few days ago.

   How fitting, it seems, that as a volunteer, I proclaimed God’s Holy Word in the New Testament reading, as a Lector.

   You know, we talk at Church about giving our time, talent and treasure – to help others.

   These five blogs might just possibly fall under the category, “Ministry”.

   Whether you touch one life or a hundred lives, these blogs are your ministry. A ministry can be defined as an act of service.

   What a wonderful world this could be if we all did more.

   David, you’re welcome.
   What’s exciting is to see visible change in others.
   For example, some people have started blogging.
   Existing bloggers now do so more regularly.
   Distant emails arrive with kind words.
   And the biggest change has been inside myself.
   Gandhi was right.
