Spirituality is art

Timing (luck) is when preparation meets opportunity.

Spirituality is art.

Imagine the creating involved in order to love something or someone by letting them go.

Surrendering to what you want and hope for in order to allow someone else to follow the path they choose, which can be vastly different than your path.

The generous art of daily surrender, starting with self.

Truth and not truth

Truth and not truth.

None of us wants other people telling us what we should or shouldn’t do.

Especially when we were teenagers and adults (parents, teachers, coaches) could, and were expected to, tell us what to do.

And yet.

And yet there have been others who cared enough to share a blind spot i never knew i had.

Of course this is painful.

And once we get past the pain, we are free to transform as we move toward our next birthday.

Can you count your major blessings?

leaky pool pump motor
Brand new pool pump is not supposed to leak, and it didn’t for the first few weeks.

Can you count your major blessings?

One of the often misused blessings is an ability to quickly put things into perspective.

Discovered our recently replaced pool pump motor is leaking.

This now becomes another thing on the list of things needing attention.

Attention requires time.

Too many things (that shouldn’t need attention) needing attention can derail our daily routine.

Derailed daily routines are what lead to excuses, unhealthy compromise, and stress.

And so i quickly understand that this is a first-world issue.

Yesterday (Friday) felt like Saturday

Swimming pool deck prepared for hurricane
Prepared for the worst. Deeply grateful it never even came close.

Yesterday (Friday) felt like Saturday.

And then on Sundays, stereotypically, we are more spiritually aware then we are the other six days of the week.

What if we felt spiritually aware every day?

What holds us back from this Sunday-like spiritual awareness?

What if we weren’t held back?

What, if anything, would change?

What do the people who are spiritually aware every day do differently that others could learn to do?

#Awareness

#Awareness

Awareness is the first step.

To anything you can or should do.

What is your involvement in a spiritual community of believers?
