Jesus loves everyone

Can you help us not label people and judge them because of their beliefs? Love is love, after all. Right?

Can you hear Jesus telling a group of 12-year olds, “I love everyone across the world, except for those people over there.”

I don’t belong there

Sprouting springtime caladium
Yesterday, i spotted the first sprouting caladium of the Spring season. This is my official sign that Spring is here at Walt Disney World (home).

I don’t belong at Church.

The people there do not want me there.

Imagine having a conversation with someone you love and they tell you this.

What would you think? What would you do? What would you say? How would you feel?

Is there any Christian in the world, anywhere, that can look me in the eyes and tell me Jesus doesn’t want a LGBT person involved in HIS community?

Seriously.

The civil rights movement was resisted in America for an absurd and disgusting duration. It’s still seeking the finish line.

LGBT Americans (and world citizens) are following in the footsteps of every American who was ever judged discriminatorily because of their skin color.

If you perceive someone negatively (even if only slightly) because of their sexual preference, the legitimate and only question is this…”Why?”

Have you ever felt this kind of non-stop hatred?

Have you ever felt this kind of non-stop hatred?

Probobly not.

What if you – or someone you love – did?

Begs the question, “Why is this a thing in our world?”

Legally hated

Granite Park Chalet
Context. Granite Park Chalet in Glacier National Park.

Room with a view.

Legally hated.

Caught a glimpse of a passing car’s windshield and it looked like the large decal said, “Legally Hated”.

It happened so fast i can’t verify that’s what it said.

No matter, the concept struck me as truth.

Why?

i envision a gay or lesbian person making a profound statement.

If a store owner can legally turn away customers because of their sexual orientation, it’s like saying…

“We don’t like you enough to serve you. We’ll serve everyone else, but not your kind. Please leave at once.”

Hated.

Legally.

Jesus thought some were undeserving

LGBT church
Is Jesus the center of Christianity?

LGBT church
Would this headline make Jesus smile?

Jesus thought some were undeserving.

Right?

It’s in the Bible’s fine print.

Jesus said, “Everyone is welcome here, except them.”

“Those LGBT folks, don’t let them in. Ever.”, Jesus continued.

Ok, so now this article (and where the photos came from) adds context to the five previous sentences.

It seems, to me, to be so painfully obvious – am i grossly out of touch with a foundational understanding of Christianity and Jesus?

How does anyone professing Faith in Jesus allow this to happen?
