Fear Is Real. Some Fear Is Minor And Some Supremely Scary. Some, Make Believe.

It’s easy, this time of year, with the parades, presents, TV specials, bowl games and parties, to remember deep down at the core of our existence is a heavenly spirit that was ~~set free~~ commemorated with the birth of a little boy. What I find truly frightening, is the thought of taking this for granted.

Happens year after year around this time.

How many of us forgot?

How many of us didn’t forget, but were simply “going through the motions”?

Easter is the most important day in the life of a Christian.

Christmas is critical, but loses all meaning without Easter.

You have thought of that, right?

You Can Do This jeff

Not Sure I Can Do This

Two days ago, you heard, “I’m not sure I can do this.”

Today, back at it to see if it can be done.

We scoured the area north, south, east and west of Disney World, looking for the proverbial American Dream, a nice house with a big back yard.

We sacrificed many things to pursue the American Dream. The house we were living in at the time was 30 miles from Disney’s Contemporary Resort, where I was working.

Hey, did I mention that we could only afford one car and Cheryl used it? How did I get to work? Great question. I rode my bicycle. We eventually got a second car, but not for a couple years.

Anyway, back to the point. We followed one dead-end path after another, like many couples do.

We never gave up. Although in hind sight, it may have been the smart thing to do. The clock was ticking. We were missing out on some things others don’t miss out on.

Time Talent Treasure = Stewardship

Stewardship of Time, Talent and Treasure.

Seems pretty simple. Three things. Important things. Things we all have. Things we can all share.

But do we?

Statistics show that only a small percentage rise above and volunteer in a sacrificial way.

Why? Why not?

Things that make you go, hmmmm……
