David and Carrie, without American Idol, would be singing these songs in their Church and we’d probably never had heard their incredible voices.
Advent is a time for me to be joyful for the coming of our Lord and Savior. I usually “wake up” from my busy schedule and it’s January. I sadly think to myself, “How’d that happen?”

Like I said before, I tend to be an “old soul” when it comes to music. Even though I think David Archuleta and Carrie Underwood do a great job, I still hold Nat King Cole as my “Oh Holy Night” crooner. To keep me from vanishing into the “busy-ness” of the season, I still fall back to my Nat King Cole Christmas cassette that I used to listen to growing up. It was also the same one I used to rock my sons asleep to when they were babies. Now when I hear it, I am flooded with the memories of my baby boys, and it reminds me to thank God for every moment with them.
