Strong daughter-in-law

My Mom and Sister get weekly updates on the neighborhood frictions. Mom sent an article about HOA nuttiness. These are such first world issues compared to what our neighbor is living through now.

Biking through our neighborhood a car slows, rolls down the window, and chats as we maintain a slow pace together. We stop in the street. Not uncommon in our community.

We talk.

His daughter-in-law is one of 500 Americans annually who get ALS at her ‘younger’ age. Her prognosis is 10-40 months from the first signs. It’s been six months.
