I asked if she suspected her young Son would eventually ask

Three 13 year olds who will wonder what life is all about

Asked a smart executive yesterday if anyone has asked her to explain the meaning of life.

She said no.

Then I asked if she suspected her young Son would eventually ask.

She said yes.

So I asked, “What will you say?”

After listening to her for a minute, maybe two, she finally finished sharing her answer.

(this is surprising longer than it seems)

Pretenting to be a young child (or teenager) I replied, “Huh?”

Then I shared my answer, “To love and be loved.”

Point is this: there are things we know to be crucial, most of which we ignore.

That’s what I write about.

It’s not always pretty, or easy to read.

But it’s never a lie.

In change, growth.

In growth, peace.

Then in a flash, the second sentence. Then the third, etc.

Then the enlightenment – a trusted path to peace.
