Traveled to Glacier National Park (a week ago) with my Family because I wanted them to know, and remember, of all the places on Earth, Glacier is my absolute favorite. I did this deliberately.

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. – Thoreau

Could we come to our deathbed and realize there were a few really important things we never did but should have, could have, or would have, had we known the end time?

Anchors are good, even if we don’t agree on them

Glacier National Park is labeled ‘The Crown of the Continent’.

Jesus is labeled by many as the crown of Love.

What either of these things means or does for us is up to each of us individually.

Bottom line, without anchors, we drift.

Anchors are good, even if we don’t agree on them.

With anchors firmly in place, when we drift, we’re doing it because we want to, not because we’re trapped.

Does everything happen for a reason?

That’s up to us to decide. No?

The one flight where we were not sitting together as a Family was also the flight with an empty middle seat between me and the window seat passenger.

This was all a coincidence providing an opportunity to spend three hours with a fellow professional speaker.

Great first impressions started to come into question as the conversation lengthened.

It was an eye-opening experience.

That’s all I can say right now.

Final prayers and maybe the last ever?

Pike Place Market Seattle at 8am - nearly empty

Church is very different when it’s empty or almost so.

Same with Pike Place Market and downtown Seattle.

Same places. Dramatically different experiences.

It can occur to us that this applies to everything.

Including prayer.

In the stillness of darkness and silence.

In the rush of daylight and crowds.
