Ever have an unexpected wake up call hit you in the face?

Pulling into the neighborhood last night as our neighbor was removing his garage sale sign. They’re selling things to make moving easier. They close – and have to be out – in 14 days.

Been backyard neighbors with Bobbye and Harry for 20+ years. In their 70’s and full of wisdom, the endless (but rarely taken) opportunities to walk over, are, well, over.

Never thought they’d move away. Always thought we spend more time visiting. I died a little inside last night.

The message for all of us? Press on, in spite of the odds and the obstacles.
