Be an adult, please

Coco Magic Happens Float
The spirit of the dearly departed is etched on our heart over time.

Be an adult, please.

Walking to the gate an hour ago, passed by a woman on her phone as she said, “I have to put up with that sh!t everyday.”

Praying that every person can read, study, learn, and teach to the point of a growth mindset.

Adult to adult.

Maybe this is an impossibility.

Stay in character

Cruella deVille
She looked lonely so we said hello.
Aspire website
Email solicitation for a free 45-60-minute coaching call. Why not, right?

Stay in character and play your part.

Cruella nailed it.

All day.

We saw her multiple times yesterday and she was always playing her part.

Always.

Easier said than done.

Play your part as a role model.

Or, as in the second photo, play my upcoming part as a solicited coaching student.

Highly discouraged

Disney’s Hollywood Studios motorcycle parking. Yesterday.

Security Officer Greg (22 years of service) and Brian (parking/security leader at Epcot) clarified that while bicycling on property is strongly discouraged, it is legal to do so.

My only “legal” requirement is to avoid “Authorized Vehicles Only” (AVO) roads with the main exception being the North property exit passing Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa or passing Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

These two northbound exits have AVO signs which do not apply to their official request.

In our closing conversations, and at our mutually agreeable verbal clarification – around 9:30AM in the Epcot Guest parking lot (near “handicapped” parking) – i am free to ride Northbound past either The Contemporary or Grand Floridian unto AVO roads in order to exit by Disney University. Photo below is one of those AVO roads.

Walt Disney World North Services Area on one of the Authorized Vehicles Only roads.

i’m proud of dad

My wife told me our son said he was proud of me.

He attended a half-day Customer Service and Leadership workshop i delivered for the top 36 executives for a nationwide restaurant company.

Heard this just before bedtime, this morning finds the details still unclear.

Perhaps the day will provide an opportunity for clarity.

Interestingly enough my son, who worked the event, and i conducted an extensive debrief on the 30 minute car ride home.

Epiphany

Who will make us believe balance is possible? Who will teach your children if not you? Photo: Epcot yesterday, American Adventure.

Epiphany.

Yesterday was the Catholic Church calendar’s “Epiphany”.

Epiphanies are rocket fuel.

Here’s to your blast off with new awareness.

Waiting and doing nothing are the twin siblings of self-destruction.

Twenty years into a 30+ year Disney career, i had an epiphany about work/life balance.

Searching unsuccessfully for a role model at Disney, it hit me.

i must figure this out for myself.

These five daily blogs are a manifestation of my strategy and tactics.
