Chickened out on my mission at Church yesterday.

But only because he was holding a paper plate full of breakfast goodies.

Compromised with a short, heartfelt compliment that’s been gnawing at me to deliver.

So instead of actually doing it, I just described to Father Ennis what I’ve been feeling compelled to do for long time.

I mean what would you do if you suddenly found yourself in Jesus’ presence?

Can we imagine being a first responder and pulling people from the rubble?

How much are you drawn in by national disasters?

Saw 15 minutes of news coverage on the Moore, Oklahoma tornado last night.

Stunned by two things.

  1. The utter devastation.
  2. How clueless we can be if we don’t read the newspaper nor watch TV.

And then can we imagine going through life not certain of God’s love for us?

It’s risky when we do things radically different than the way our family, friends, and even society in general traditionally does them.

Hitch-hiked 600 miles with two bicycles, $200, and no deadline or destination to be concerned with.

No amount of money, nor fancy location can buy happiness.

We know this.
