Real life in real time – this is difficult to focus on because of the distractions we’re addicted to

 

Pray big. Heard the expression from someone talking about the devastating Moore, Oklahoma tornadoes.

Pray big. Sure, when there is a catasrophe.

But normal day-to-day? Pray big?

Is there any other way?

Considering our body a temple is common sense, but not always common practice.

Body and spirit are so interconnected it’s staggering, no? At yesterday’s 21st annual Central Florida Glider’s Track meet at Lake Brantley High School, it was inspiring to see Bantam to Masters age groups competing and enjoying exercise.

Bantam’s are 8 and under, Master’s are 30 and over, grand Masters are 50 and over.

I’m a grand Master.

I prayed not to over do it. In the final three strides, I almost failed.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for watching over everyone who tries to do too much too soon.

Here’s the thing we all can count on, we’re all gonna look back on our lives and either be completely satisfied, or not.

The greater our generosity, the greater our satisfaction.

With our spirit, with possibilities, with youth, with our future.

What teaching teaches that studying can’t

We study. We read. We attend seminars. Etc.

All of these with the intent of becoming a better person in our spirit.

And yet, some will discover, that teaching teaches us even more than studying.

Learning more, eventually, reveals the wisdom that it matters little to walk to do the preaching, if not the walking is the preaching.
