Passion Doesn’t Mean Perfection

Dear Son,

People are jealous of successful people, generally speaking. As you journey through life, look around and observe this phenomenon. Wish it wasn’t so, but it is.

As you find your way through life, you’ll be tempted to ease up, to slow down, to back off. Mostly because, it’s just easier than creating waves or controversy.

Sometimes, this is exactly what you should do.

And sometimes it’s the last thing you should do.

You won’t know which one to choose until it’s too late. That’s why life is hard.

Internet's only five-a-day blogger, leaving a trail for our son. This is about putting the spirit of Love at the center of your life. It may be God, Allah, Mohammed, Buddha, Yahweh, etc. For me, it's Jesus.

Words I hear from my 10-year-old, “You’re lucky you’re an adult.”

Not always so. Blessed to have made it this far? You bet! But luck doesn’t have as big a role as you think. It’s the back ache, sore muscles, cuts and scrapes on arms and legs, sweat pouring off your brow, dust in your eyes kind of hard work that it often takes to make life work in your favor.

And that’s just for an office job!

David, amen….that’s just the office job – the Money.
Then there’s HQ – day to day administration
And Mind – our mental responsibility .
Our Spiritual responsibility.
Our Physical responsibility.
Life is tough.
It’s also tender and glorious.
No pain, no gain…..
