Prudence is common sense

The murder of an innocent man recorded live on Facebook makes a dog bite seem irrelevant.

Mark Zuckerberg
Yesterday, Mark Zuckerberg made a public statement about Facebook’s commitment to be a safe place.

It would gross negligence to not have a doctor’s opinion for the dog bite.

You’d do it for a child or grandchild, right? Just to be sure of no freak situation where saying everything is fine could come back to haunt you.

The word is prudence.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Speaking of child and grandchild, the reason i went to the fence to say hello is because our new neighbor was in her yard with her daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren.

Context: with the sun going down and plenty of yard work to do before it got dark, even a few minutes diversion could put me behind on this project.

Plus, our yards are big and we were far enough apart to easily avoid an encounter.

i felt it would be unneighborly to not say hello, since i had not met her Family.
