Be Strong?

Be strong?

What does that mean?

Today, let’s use our imagination to to find a new way to see a long standing challenge we face.

That’s what I intend to do. It’s what I try to do everyday.

Do you?

Will you?

  1. Dear Jeff,

When I read your blog today, I was quickly reminded of Joshua 1:9, which quotes God as saying to Joshua, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” And what was the longstanding challenge he faced? Oh, there was a big one, which entailed leading the Children of Israel into the Promise Land after wondering for 40 years in the wilderness. Moses had just died, and now it was Joshua’s defining moment to be the leader to take them into Canaan. Did he rise to the challenge with strength and courage in the Lord? Absolutely. They were able to walk into the Promise Land in three days, but not before a another obstacle. They had to cross the flooded Jordan River. They did, but they had to take a step of faith first into the water. Once they walked out into the water, the Lord parted it for them.

Thanks for helping to bring that to my memory. I am praying about some things that may require me to step out into some unfamiliar waters. May the Lord give me strength!

  2. Bob, thank you. And please know that there are readers here that will add you, if they haven’t already, to their prayer list. I have. Be strong. Be courageous. have Faith and remember who you are – a child of God.
