Afterwards

Powerful, Hopeful Dreams
Powerful, Hopeful Dreams

Do you volunteer to help out where you can?

Sounds so simple, doesn’t it?

Most people never do. They intend to, but life gets in the way.

After Mass yesterday, where I volunteered (10 years now) as a Lector, I went looking for Father Ennis. Based on a post last week, I wanted to tell him something.

Something he needs to hear.

Something he probably doesn’t hear nearly enough.

Internet's only five-a-day blogger, leaving a trail for our son. This is about putting the spirit of Love at the center of your life. It may be God, Allah, Mohammed, Buddha, Yahweh, etc. For me, it's Jesus.

“Make me a channel of your peace.” What a beautiful phrase to reflect upon. Thank you for posting this. I love how you find, in the most everyday places, and photograph such inspirational phrases.

If I understand what God is telling me, it sounds like, “Keep blogging and taking pictures. Remember when I gave you your first camera? You were about six, and it came free with a tank of gas. And remember when your Dad gave you your Grandfather’s camera?”

Patty, The Blog Whisperer’s tag line is, “Live, before you die”.

With an asterisk that says, “If you can’t do great things, do small things with great Love”. (credit to Mother Teresa)

I got my first camera when I was 6 as well; an old Brownie.

I am amazed by life’s parallels and the gifts He gives through the people I meet.
God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good.

Are you considering attending World Youth Day 2011 in Madrid?

It’s interesting nowadays, because virtually every phone has a camera (with video too), and more kids, at a younger age, are getting these.

Wonder if they take the camera for granted or see it as the wonderful invention it is, to capture moments in time.
