Yesterday was a great day! No seriously, it was awesome!
Is that what you would answer if asked, “How was your day yesterday?”
Today, when someone asks you, “How are you?”, do you have your answer ready?
Or will questions like these catch you by surprise?
Jeff,
I have a feeling a lot of folks have a “standard answer,” but few rarely ever share how they really feel. Is it because of fear of being vulnerable or the belief that no one really cares? I don’t know. But I remember a long time ago a pastor friend of mine said, “Ask twice to get the truth.” The first response is often veneer, but the second time you ask lets them know you really care and want to know.

Your Pastor is a wise man.
And so are you.
My favorite response to this question came from an older man at church, and now I hear Dave Ramsey say it too, “Better than I deserve”.
Brilliant, Teresa.
Haven’t started today’s (JUne 19) posts yet.
This could be one.
I LOVE it – because it’s so true.
