Ash Wednesday And Lent

The Road To Easter
The Road To Easter

Ash Wednesday and Lent.

Happens year after year around this time.

How many of us forgot?

How many of us didn’t forget, but were simply “going through the motions”?

Easter is the most important day in the life of a Christian.

Christmas is critical, but loses all meaning without Easter.

You have thought of that, right?

Internet's only five-a-day blogger, leaving a trail for our son. This is about putting the spirit of Love at the center of your life. It may be God, Allah, Mohammed, Buddha, Yahweh, etc. For me, it's Jesus.

Jeff,

Again, you put things back into perspective! You are right – Easter truly is the Big Deal for a Christian. Without that, Jesus was just another man who lived and died. But, like Bill Gaither sings, “Then came the morning!”

Praise God!

I often ask business leaders, “Which is more important, a vision or a vision statement?”

While the vision statement is often the first choice, it means nothing unless the leader creates an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, 5-year, 10-year, and beyond vision of the future.

There was no rest for Jesus. There really is none for a great leader either.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. 🙂

Jeff,

You are right! It isn’t enough to state a vision, but can you LIVE the vision?

Jesus not only stated it, but LIVED it to the full extent, DIED, and ROSE again to show the full extent of His vision!

Each day is an opportunity to try to live as if our time was short.

For the disciplined person, this can be very powerful and motivating.

Jesus, it would seem, was that type of person. A “man with a plan” so to speak.
