Just had a relapse epiphany

Just had a relapse epiphany.

Another blinding flash of the obvious.

Watched a brief clip of Simon Sinek and it hit me what it is about his style that has always felt off to me, but not until watching this clip.

First let me say he’s a brilliant and gifted speaker and storyteller.

The epiphany last night was the revelation of his absence of personal experience examples in his speaking.

As a speaker, it finally made sense.

Be passionate, tell stories, use personal examples.

Two out of three isn’t three out of three and i must ensure to avoid the same industry stereotypical standard.

Two spiritual truths and a lie

Perspective.

Need an icebreaker for a group?

Two spiritual truths and a lie.

Ask your audience to think of two of their biggest spiritual or emotional accomplishments, milestones, or freakish encounters.

Maybe they were once a Nun or a Preist.

Maybe they have founded a non-profit (or for-profit) business that serves a severely under-served demographic in their state.

Then ask them to create an outrageous “lie” that competes with their two lifetime achievements.

The goal is to stump the others at their table, or their partner if they’re in pairs.
