While we were trying to start a family, with the years ticking by, this $2.99 Walmart poster provided a vision of our goal – becoming parents. We already had the gardens.

Why do you write so much? And probably more importantly, why do you never miss a single day? Seriously, who cares?

Last question first, who cares? No one.

Why never miss a day? Turns out it’s like drinking water. Can’t recall the last time i missed a day drinking water. Why would i?

Daily water is good for you. So is daily writing.

Finally, why so many consecutive years? Already answered this with the last answer.

Typo. No one is perfect. If Disney Ran Your Life….

Yet another debt of honor for which there can be no fulfilled repayment.

Only repay what you are able for as long as you are able.

All of the following are verbs:

Give.

Serve.

Surrender.

Breath.

Hope.

Love.

Write.

Today, when this goes live, the 12th consecutive year of writing five daily, differently-themed blog posts begins. Yesterday concluded, obviously, the 11th year without missing a single day.

In the giving, you receive.

Speaking from 11 years of writing experience.

You know what’s hard to believe?

family values
In a moment 4 years ago, we were asked to list our values. Immediately wrote mine down. Few people can write theirs immediately. Write yours down right now. See what i mean?

You know what’s hard to believe?

Couple things:

  • Haven’t had a drop of alcohol in 19 years
  • Have written 20,000 blog posts
  • Have written 5 daily blogs for 4k+ consecutive days

Even wilder, no one cares, yet the streaks seem heroic.

To me anyway.

Find your reasons to do what inspires you and brings you joy.

PS. Regarding reasons, you’ll need at least a million of them.
