Reunite with Facebook?

Orlando Motivational Speaker
Learning how to surrender is key to a joyful life. i’ve surrendered to the FOMO (fear of missing out) and haven’t kept up on Facebook.

Reunite with Facebook?

A year ago i stopped posting to my personal Facebook.

Why?

Too much that doesn’t feel right about it.

So will i reunite with personal Facebook after a year’s absence?

Not sure.

One side says, steer clear of the emotional distractions.

The other side says go back to being “social”.

What if i could be social, but on personal terms with individuals using texts and calls?

What if a few text groups were created?

To my eyes, i see too much immaturity, competition, anger, distraction, and score keeping.

Would you use Facebook if the like button was removed and comments were disabled?

If there were no “affirmations” to compare yourself to, would you use Facebook?

Do you find yourself wishing your life could be as exciting or vibrant as some of your friends?

Do you wish some of your other friends would stop whining and complaining?

Do your friends posts lift you up and help propel you to your dreams?

Do you really want everyone in your friend group to know all the things you post?

How many times a day do you look at Facebook?

Thankful for patience

Jungle cruise from Disneyland
For some reason, this photo is on my desktop and works almost every time despite the technical issues.

Thankful for patience.

Without patience, man, i’d be a wreck.

For a week now (since the web hosting migration) i’ve been unable to use the WordPress photo uploader. i’ve spent far too many hours trying to solve it. Yesterday i made a small inroad, but it’s not working consistently.

As a compromise, i’ve been using the media library of previously used photos. While not what i want, i’ll take it until we (patiently) solve this issue.

No one cares abut your challenges, if you don’t

Disney speakers jeff
Inform and inspire. Every day. All day.

No one cares about your challenges if you don’t.

Caring means tenacious effort to overcome the challenge.

Like a full-time job.

Without results, how can we prove we mean it?

A higher power, whatever that means to you, is like Dennys – always open.

You must inform and inspire yourself to why you exist.

Every day.

All day.

Every speech has to count

Colorado landscape from a plane
Stunning opportunity on so many levels on a trip that was a first world nightmare.

Never let the marathon day – filled with bumps – get to me.

Colorado landscape from a plane
Wow.

Colorado landscape from a plane
Imagining what carved it and how long it took, and if this is only the most recent (100-million years) look.

Trusting the pilots…we were close to mountain tops.

Really close.

Like a heart surgeon, every operation (speech) has to count.

If the phone doesn’t ring, look in the mirror

Medical pediatric doctor office visit app
Yesterday in Allergist’s waiting room, a TV piece on a new app letting you visit with a board certified pediatrician via smartphone.

Ever pray when you wonder why you don’t hear from family and close friends for a long time.

Do you pray that they understand when they are feeling the same way, that they, and you, realize that someone has to go first.

In the absence of deciding who’s responsible for initiating calls, let’s assume neither has enough interest or time to be the leader.

But almost everyone has time to be the follower.
