Do Things Happen in Threes?

Threes are important, aren’t they?

How about Faith, Hope and Love?

The biggest three in my world anyway.

However, this morning, in the span of 30 minutes, it happened like this:

  1. Father V spoke about Love
  2. Art spoke about do-overs
  3. Dennis & Stacey spoke about making a difference

Please let me explain;

Number one. Our Priest spoke of Love being the ultimate choice in life. Not that we get to love, as much as we are loved. And our choice is in what we do with this knowlege. The goal, Father V said, is that we love others, as our Father loves us.

Number two. Art told me his oldest son graduated High School two days ago. I asked, “He grew up fast, didn’t he”? Art replied, “Too fast”. If given the chance to do it over, Art said something about doing it differently, carving out even more time than he did, knowing what he knows now.

Number three. Stacey and Dennis are sponsoring a fund-raiser, in honor of their beloved daughter, Whitney Lee DeCarlo, on Saturday, May 23, at our Church. I asked Stacey and Dennis if it would be OK to post a short You Tube video clip. Click here to see the short video clip. A few minutes earlier, we had just finished talking about trying to make a difference in our World, and using social media to do it.

You may click here – Whitney Lee DeCarlo – to read Stacey’s Caring Bridge Journal, for the full story.

This post is in honor of all those people trying to help others. This post is also inspired by the power of people working together for a common good.

While many reading have no way to attend Stacey and Dennis’ dinner gala for a great cause, maybe there is something else you can do in your corner of the world. Or, if you would like to make a tax deductible donation, please email Stacey at [email protected]

It is better to give than to receive, eh? Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂

World Class Hope?

jeff noel.org on Wednesday is wondering what it would take to have World Class Hope.

Do you know?

Do you know what it takes to be world-class at any endeavor?

Any suggestions?

Last May, I was at the gym in Orlando, Florida when I had the opportunity to ask Tiger Woods a similar question. So I asked him, “Tiger, if you had one piece of advice for any one wanting to be world class, what would it be?

Check out jeff noel.com for his answer. I just posted a story there with his answer.

It’s a GREAT day to be curious, eh? Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂

Faith, Hope, Love

Faith, Hope, Love.

Words to live by, eh?

What motivates you every day?

What inspires you to try to make a difference, even though people or circumstances seem to tell you you’re crazy?

Here’s a thought, posted at Lane 8.org.

You may find it just the thing to help you Dream Big, Get There, and most importantly, Stay There.

Make it a GREAT day, because if you don’t, who will? If not today, when?

Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂

Blessed Beyond Measure?

Blessed Beyond Measure?

What does that mean, blessed beyond measure?

Ever thought about that?

We have so many blessings that it’s almost too good to be true.

But in order to “cash in” on them, I believe we have to be aware.

Not much awareness goes on in an overly busy schedule. I know. I’m ridiculously busy.

This is why I work so hard each day to be aware.

What if you worked hard at this? What do you think you could gain? Go! Carpe diem! jeff 🙂

Got 70 pounds?

A few nights ago, I asked our son, eight, to weigh himself.

The scale said 70 pounds.

Wow!

Sometimes, as much as I claim to live in the moment, the moments pass by unnoticed.

Guilty as charged. Seventy pounds. How did that happen? When did that happen.

Every adult I’ve asked for advice on raising children – and there have been hundreds over the years – has said the same thing, “They grow up fast!”

Our lives can be one big flurry of activity with little time in the slow lane.

My goal is to be the slowest of the fastest. Seriously. Check out tomorrow’s post at Lane 8.org for the “punch line”.

Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂
