Celebrate victory over addiction

Disney’s Animal Kingdom yesterday.

Cheryl went to the gym at 7:15 AM before heading off to work at Walt Disney World yesterday.

Our son slept-in like a college freshman on Christmas break.

i wanted a big cardio activity.

It was 7:45 AM.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom (DAK) was the only Park open to Cast on New Year’s Eve, so off i went and 13 miles later…DAK.

PS. In 2001, on December 31, i stayed sober on New Year’s Eve for the first time since 1975.

Doing it again

Behind the Church again. It is completely dark yet somehow the new iPhone’s camera has a low light feature that stunningly makes this photo look like dawn – it’s pitch black in reality.

Doing it again, but with a slight creative change.

Two days ago all five blog posts were written on an iPhone while walking to and from the gym.

Today, only this website is being written while walking. All five blog posts today are using photos from today’s walk, taken and added as i walk.

The significant, yet easily overlooked, insight is the glimpse into how i am slowly experimenting with an entirely different way to blog. Much of our progress is imperceptible, until one day, bam, a breakthrough.

The big three

Grand circular Church driveway and fountain.

The big three are Faith, Hope, and Love.

But wait, there is more.

Vision, risks, fun.

Maybe blogging differently will keep me writing 5-a-day.

Smile at the Ying and Yang

Yesterday walking home from gym.

Smile at the Ying and Yang.

The missed opportunity is how to use quitting in a constructive way.

What if instead of quitting the new year’s resolution to get healthy, we instead quit what we were doing the first three weeks and begin a new approach?

Changing (quitting) the activity may be just the thing needed to keep making progress (not quiting).

Note to self for a plussed-up ending

Disney Keynote Speakers
Having fun in First Class seat, adding some excitement to tomorrow’s Disney Keynote Speech.

Avianca Airlines
It’s so weird to sit next to a wonderful human being and not be able to easily communicate. Things we take for granted.

Creative ideas
Note to self…an idea for a plussed-up ending.

Got chalk?

No.

Had i known before i left, would have packed some.

It’s on today’s to-do list: get sidewalk chalk.
