Closing in

Freeing a spider caught in bathroom sink.
Spider tucked in tight at bottom of tall glass. Possibly venomous. No attempt to force it out.
Brown Recluse? Maybe. Deadly venom.
Spider is free to go into the debris. Will retrieve the cup today.

The closer you get to God, the more the devil wants a piece of you.

Seriously.

Be careful.

The devil may get a piece of you simply by insidiously drifting you away from who and what you love.

The devil may also insidiously drift you into a habit that becomes an addiction, also keeping you away from who and what you love.

Note: Because insidious means unnoticeable, you never realize you’re in the situation you’re in. You think life is good. Devil wins.

The winning golden ticket

Yesterday, for real, a 4.5-hour phone call.

The winning golden ticket?

Peace and contentment.

Anger, jealousy, resentment, comparing, excuses, regrets.

These are the devil’s handiwork.

Anything to rob you of peace and contentment.

Believe what you want to believe, but if you do not have peace and contentment, you may believe in the wrong things or the right things in the wrong way.

Bad things happen to good people

Bad things happen to good people.

Why does a young person suffer and die from cancer?

God never promises life will be easy.

God promises that we never have to walk alone.

Ever.

The devil’s secret weapon

Will Power book
This book was randomly on an empty table across from ours.

The devil’s secret weapon is simply this. The devil doesn’t make us bad. The devil makes us busy.

In our busy-ness, we cut corners and neglect things we never should.

The devil delights in this.

Grateful for the devil’s reminders

Orlando News Vans

(photo: Two Orlando News vans outside Orlando Police Headquarters, while parking for the WordPress meeting yesterday.)

So thankful for the reminders that the devil places in front of us.

Seeing how others are struggling and how many feel victimized is the perfect reminder and encouragement.

It reminds us of our own struggles, and encourages us to keep fighting.

Take no prisoners when it comes to feeling victimized.

Patience is strength.

So is determination.
