Good Friday eve

Good Friday eve.

Tomorrow, will the tomb be empty?

We know how the story ends.

The origin story is critical to every culture.

A religion, a Country, a Community, an Organization, a Family.

Even us, me and you.

Do you have an origin story?

Excellent.

Is that you, Easter?

St Mary Valley in Glacier National Park
St Mary Valley in Glacier National Park. Would love to explore this hidden alpine valley, but not sure who would go with me.

Is that you, Easter?

Good Friday is in 48 hours, Easter is in four days.

With Covid-19, easy to take our foot off the gas.

Unless.

Unless we come to know the true meaning of Easter is when we learn to celebrate it everyday.

Flower Sunday too. Photo: Glacier National Park high country meadow.

Palm Sunday is tomorrow.

Kinda sneaks up on you as the global pandemic steals the show.

Well Spring?

Glacier National park
Church is every step we take. Nature, or simply being outside, is a great place for “Church”.

Well Spring?

What do you drink in each day to refresh and quench your soul?

Where is your well?

May your cup runneth over .

Time for plan b

Photo: Looking North toward Canada, from Mt Oberlin (8,200′).

Time for plan b.

Ordered a “deluxe” wrist/thumb brace on Amazon yesterday. The wrist inflammation is improving but in hindsight, it’s taking too long. This brace would have been ideal earlier. Better late than never.

Time for (and room for) a second plan b.

Easter.

Two weeks away.

Missing Church because the Covid-19 buzz is distracting our focus on Lent and the Risen Jesus.

Believe in what lights your fire and provides you unexplainable peace – believe in it all the way, as if your life depends on it.

It certainly doesn’t need to be Jesus, but it does need to be something.

If you doubt this now, there will come a time when you are faced with a harsh reality and you are confronting a fear you never imagined. At that moment, you will understand what this post is trying to say.
