Without someone to talk to?

Virginia license plate with inspirational message
Yesterday while walking back to car after a coaching session.

Ever feel like you are without someone to talk to?

Technically, this should never be the case.

i’m not here to tell you what to believe in. You need to decide that for yourself.

The message is clear though, whatever you believe in, believe all the way.

If you don’t believe all the way, you really don’t believe.

Think about it.

Best wishes for conviction.

Catch the subtle message in the license plate? Peace begins at home. So does conviction.

The differences are absurd

Better late than never, even if you have to go solo.

Can’t and won’t are not the same argument.

Makes more sense when we read them in a sentence:

  1. I can’t love God.
  2. I won’t love God.

The first stems from excuses.

The second comes from selfishness and pride.

Why only read the emails that are fun?

Sam Horn via LinkedIn
Sam Horn’s recent post on LinkedIn last week.

We’ve heard the phrase, God wastes nothing. What does that mean exactly?

For starters it means everything that happens – good or not so good – is meant to help us:

  • Grow
  • Learn

Whether we grow or learn is 100% our responsibility.

Bad things happen to everyone.

No one likes reading an overflowing inbox. And add to that having to deal with tough emails that are difficult, time consuming, or tragic. Good grief Charlie Brown.

Every single thing that happens to us can teach us or grow us.

But if we looked at it that way, we’d have nothing to complain about.

God wastes nothing.

Our focus feeds our belief

Robot sculpture and drawing
Humans, obviously, are not programmed to be perfect.

We see what we want to see.

Maybe more people would believe in an unseen God if they focused on an immeasurably loving God rather than on the ridiculously imperfect humans trying to be good and decent people.

Our image and definition is influenced by what we focus on.

If we focus on what appears to be hypocritical, flawed individuals, then of course it’s a losing proposition.
