Who isn’t going through a hell no one knows about?

Fame and success bring a set of hell-issues you and i can’t fathom. How do i know? i spent a lifetime around fame and success at Disney.

Yes, even Brady is going through a hell no one knows about. How do i know? i know you’re going through one right now. How do i know? Because we all are.

Who isn’t going through a hell no one knows about?

Easy.

No one.

Everyone is going through a hell no one knows about

perspective
How much money do you need, and where do you need to go to get new experiences? At 21, i left Pennsylvania on a bicycle with $75 cash and no credit cards and no checkbook. Saw many things, places, and people outside of my Pennsylvania hometown.

There is a great equalizer in life.

You’ve probably heard of the prince (“rich”) and the pauper (“poor”).

Here’s the equalizer, no matter your place in society…

Everyone is going through a hell no one knows about.

Excuses are simply a crutch to justify feeling stuck.

You don’t have to hold on to a dream you think you’re supposed to have.

Seriously, i had $75 to my name and traveled 1,100 miles through nine states – on a bicycle.

In my opinion, the person’s comment in the photo is either trolling-bait for a reaction or an excuse to justify not taking risks.

Creativity is your gift to modify, challenge, and raise your expectations.

PS. As a bonus, another no-cost option: talk to everyone you meet…on the bus, on the sidewalk, in line at the store, in the library, etc, etc….you don’t even need to travel to get diverse perspectives.

Are thrivers immune from hell?

Motivational speaker jeff noel
The upper left corner starts with “Some”…torn a corner of a magazine (probably while on an airplane) to write down a thought.

All of us are:

  1. Currently going through a hell no one knows about
  2. Just came out of a hell no one knew about
  3. About to unknowingly go into a hell no one will know about

Those of us who don’t talk about these things aren’t lucky or immune from “bad things”, we just choose to not dwell on where we’ve been, instead we give thanks for making it through and making it back.

Announcing the three types of hell

Disney conference speaker
Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends… (Emerson, Lake and Palmer lyric).

Three types of hell that no one knows about:

  1. Currently going through it
  2. Just came out of going through a hell no one knew about
  3. About to go into a hell no one will know about

Clarified this at the top of my leadership keynote speech because i wanted the audience to know:

  1. i pray silently for them
  2. When i go on and on about pixie dust, they’ll know i’m grounded in reality

This matters because the audience needs to know that in spite of our hells, we are stewards for goodness in the world.

If you believe in hell

Keith Mitzel preacher

Remember those people from High School that chose a devilish path? They fell prey to a lack of purpose and without a morale compass they focused on pleasure – constantly.

Do you believe in hell?

Here’s an intriguing thought:

Let’s make a living out of destroying hell.

Love the hell out of someone. That was the gist of yesterday’s conversation with Keith (above) in Hawaii. Was best man at his wedding, a week after we graduated High School. His bride was pregnant. He learned decades later it wasn’t his child.

He’s a preacher now. A wretch who was saved. Now he’s paying it forward. In three days, he will reach the one year anniversary of the day he and his son Sam (27, and not the child from his first wife) were driving home and were struck head on by a drunk driver.

Keith was flown to ICU with multiple life-threatening injuries including 11 of 12 ribs broken.

Tragically, there was no saving Sam.

This is the tip of the iceberg for Keith.

Live like you mean it.
