Senior Year Day 3, spiritually

Humanity, like nature, is filled with good and not-so-good.

Not-so-good things happen to every person. Good things happen too. Both have happened to me, mom, you, our family and friends, co-workers, neighbors.

What caught my attention with Jeremy Camp (we saw him in concert) is the story of his incredibly undesirable circumstance. His young wife dies.

His song, I Still Believe, is his testimony.

Critical insight: God will never abandon you. Ever.

Note: His song is one of the ‘million ways’ i use to stay motivated. A movie about his young life is on my list to watch. Here’s the trailer…

This is worth a listen now, his original song, I Still Believe.

Worship music

Stumbled upon Jeremy Camp and his story early in my Contemporary Christian music relationship. This song is about his wife dying and Jeremy still believing in God. It’s a hard story to believe in if you are newly married to the love of your life and expecting a long life together and then it is shattered.

Worship music, or what i call Contemporary Christian music is a staple.

Began listening to the Z (88.3 in Orlando) maybe mid-1990s. The Z began in 1995, billed as ‘Orlando’s Positive Hit Station’.

‘Safe for the little ears’, also a radio mantra.

Not trying to change your mind

Jeremy Camp tragedy
This is Jeremy Camp’s story. It was in losing the love of his life at 23 and “still believing” that intrigued me to buy his album. That song (and album) strengthened my belief.

Not trying to change your mind. Trying to offer you a legitimate option for your spiritual and emotional core.

Had a revelation yesterday while listening to the Jeremy Camp song, My Father’s Arms, at the gym. What if your Dad is no longer living. What if your Mom is also gone.

What if you are desperate for a trusted, loving, compassionate soul to talk to?

i challenge you to listen to this Jeremy Camp album and not see how the lyrics point to the only thing i know of (from 60 years on our planet) that will comfort you in the deepest and darkest life moments.

Here’s the short story of the title track. It wasn’t going to be on the album…
