Validate what?

That less is more.

On it.

Spent the rainy day yesterday making ever more progress.

Minimal.

Sparse.

Lean.

Light.

Free.

Joyful.

The key to traveling light

Shipping these clothes to Glacier. Need to wear them for a speech in Mexico.

The key to traveling light is to actually decide to do it and then act.

Wishing to travel light isn’t effective.

Waiting and doing nothing won’t help you either.

Many insightful concepts are obvious.

And often notoriously neglected.

Lean was my word for the year

Legacy Box note
Going the extra inch.

Lean was my word for the year three years ago.

A work in progress.

Lean meaning material things, processes, structure – everything it takes to live and manage our life.

Lean is a classic battle cry for less is more.

Expending serious effort so far in 2019.

Feels awesome.

The paradox of packing everything you think you’ll need

Disney Keynote Speaker
The weight isn’t from material things.

The more stuff we have, the more we have to focus on how to carry it, store it, protect it, organize it, clean it, and possibly even how to insure it.

The paradox of packing everything you think you’ll need is that we spend so much time and effort on our stuff that we can be too distracted to see what’s in front of us.

Lean into discomfort daily (and all day)

southwest plane issues
Without thinking about the location, i sat here.

Lean into discomfort daily (and all day).

Coming off a spectacular day of firsts and calculated risks at Universal Studios two days ago, i challenged myself to sit in a window seat.

Years ago, i gave up my go-to choice (window seat) in favor of an aisle seat.

Yesterday, i was intent on taking a trip down memory lane.

Being in the Southwest Airlines A-group, i was one of the first to board and had unlimited choices.

As we were about to take off, it hit me.

The pilot announced there were roughly 100 empty seats.

When the seat belt sign was turned off, i moved to the third row from the rear, aisle seat.
