Marketing amplifies

Disney Keynote speaker Jeff Noel name tags
Picture’s worth a lot of words.

Marketing’s job is to amplify the spirit of a product or service.

Why?

Because every other product or service that competes with yours is trying to do the same as you, only better.

This is the one, small-business imperative that most owners under-focus on.

Why?

Because it often always sounds like bragging.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Be careful with incredible offers.

Praying, always, to remain humble

Branded photo?

Praying, always, to remain humble.

As a small business owner, there is friction from the Marketing side of your (business) life.

Marketing is how others learn how you can help them. And people who need help want an expert, if possible (it should always be possible).

So when you do things that elevate your craft to certain levels – when you achieve remarkable milestones and accomplishments –  Marketers must let others know.

It would be a disservice to keep credentials and brand identity strengths from becoming public knowledge.

This is why humility can seem like a foreign concept to people who run their own business.

You get this, right?

Quite a claim

Humility is not the focus here, business marketing is.

Quite a claim.

What?

The world’s coolest?

Anyone can say anything.

We have to decide for ourselves what to believe.

Clever tag lines and crafty marketing

Clever Church billboard
Yesterday morning while running. This is one of our choices.

Up next is exploring the notion that one of the two Churches near us could become our new Church. Hope to check out one of them this morning.
