Dear Readers, Prayer Community

Last night, watching the jets roll into Tampa International airport. This photo brought back painful memories of a September morning…

Where two or more are gathered in His name…

Couple days ago, a friend rushed out of state to visit his son, in a hospital Intensive Care Unit. Motorcycle accident.

Monday, visited our son’s Pediatric Gastroenterologist…a Mother with a one-month old.

Also Monday on Z88.3 (The Z) Z Radio here in Orlando, Tyler’s (morning DJ) brother-in-law swerved to avoid a deer, crashed into a school bus.

In the blink of an eye. Plan for the future, live for today.

Be The Bait

Thanks to one of the biggest fisher’s of men, Z Radio, for inspiring this post…

Ever find yourself in a position where you would have, decades previous, bet a million dollars it would never happen? But for some mysterious reason, there you are, bigger than life, doing what you said you wouldn’t ever or couldn’t ever do?

So there I am, this past Sunday, delivering the Homily (Sermon) to dozens of Kindergarten – 5th Grade children. The Gospel message was to follow Jesus and be fishers of men.

Be the bait. You help catch ’em, he’ll clean ’em.

Give Kids The World?

We're Going To Disney World!
We're Going To Disney World!

Traveling recently in Delta Airline’s first class cabin, there was an empty (very rare) seat next to me and behind me. Cabin door is closed. Cool, extra room, I thought.

Next thing you know, the guy behind me comes up and takes the empty seat next to me, leaving his row empty.

My surprised look prompted his explanation, “There’s a Give Kids The World Child and her Mother that are being upgraded”.

Our plane is headed to Orlando, with all the world-class theme parks. What should I do? What would you do?

Wycliffe Associates Vision

Just So I'd Remember The Conversatio
Just So I'd Remember The Conversatio

How big is your vision? No seriously, how big?

We are so tempted to go through our daily motions, and never stretch ourselves in ways we are capable of, but are too afraid to try.

The people who overcome their fear, or at least who attempt to overcome their fear, are the ones who make significant progress in the big issues.

At Chick-fil-A several days ago, I met a foursome of retired Iowans, here in Orlando for the Winter. They work for Wycliffe Associates.

Wycliffe Associates wants to translate the Bible into every language known to man.

What if no one dreamt this big?

What if you don’t dream this big?

My big dream? To help raise enough money to find a cure for an incurable disease.

And yours?
