Self-imposed state change to reenergize engagement

Windermere Prep College admissions
Last night, the college admissions process review for HS Juniors.

After a long day, this meeting ran from 6:30-8:00pm…was nodding off because there were no state changes. Walking to the back was a great, self-imposed state change. It worked beautifully for my alertness and engagement.

It’s not too far-fetched to think that praying can be the manner in which we experience the entire day.

Prayers are answered in random order and sometimes never

be bold
Yesterday at High School office, a pile of college brochures.

Prayers are answered in random order and sometimes never.

Like yesterday at 5pm.

Random order reference here…

A client gave me news that was a 180-degree turn from what we originally thought.

We never saw it coming.

It was an amazing turnaround.

It was also what we expected all along.

We forgave the folks who over-reacted.

Intentionally leaving out details. They don’t matter. What matters is their change of heart.

They saw the light you could say.

When?

Table top orchids
Yesterday at Ritz Carlton. Loved the mashup of orchid and conifer.

When was the last time you began your day on your knees?

One answer, i think, passes the lifetime opportunity test., “First thing this morning.”

That answer is, “First thing this morning.”

If ever there was a day to start on your knees

Orlando bike riding in the rain
Yesterday, biking home from the gym in the rain.

Orlando bike riding in the rain
Cold and wet.

If ever there was a day to start on your knees.

Christmas morning?

Any day of the year?

Every day of the year?

i crack myself up

Heart shaped stone
Found this one week ago. Took it to Walt Disney World as a gift.

Life is funny sometimes.

Just realized i forgot to get down on my knees and pray after waking up.

Been doing this every day since April 1, 2000.

Rather than get on my knees at the airport gate, i quietly folded my hands, bowed my head, closed my eyes, as i sat with my Mac on my lap and 200 people surrounding me.

Play the hand you’re dealt.

PS. i’m going to Walt Disney World.
