Our rights and the undeserving

Purchased six reams and had them cut in half, for a work project. Meanwhile, smiling from the multi-colored “Sun Rays” at the-photo’s top.

Dr. Robert Enright is a professor of educational psychology at the University of Wisconsin and president of the International Forgiveness Institute. He defines forgiveness as:

A willingness to abandon one’s right to resentment, negative judgment, and indifferent behavior toward one who unjustly injured us, while fostering the undeserved qualities of compassion, generosity, and even love toward him or her.

Son, remember, forgiveness sets you free. The devil tempts you with our rights and with undeserving people. Please consider pride and anxiety versus humility and goodness.

I don’t belong there

Sprouting springtime caladium
Yesterday, i spotted the first sprouting caladium of the Spring season. This is my official sign that Spring is here at Walt Disney World (home).

I don’t belong at Church.

The people there do not want me there.

Imagine having a conversation with someone you love and they tell you this.

What would you think? What would you do? What would you say? How would you feel?

Is there any Christian in the world, anywhere, that can look me in the eyes and tell me Jesus doesn’t want a LGBT person involved in HIS community?

Seriously.

The civil rights movement was resisted in America for an absurd and disgusting duration. It’s still seeking the finish line.

LGBT Americans (and world citizens) are following in the footsteps of every American who was ever judged discriminatorily because of their skin color.

If you perceive someone negatively (even if only slightly) because of their sexual preference, the legitimate and only question is this…”Why?”

Is the New Year open to all?

Powerful.

Brief.

White privilege?

Heterosexual privilege?

Can you imagine if you, probably privileged beyond measure, were the one facing this challenge?
