Live like you mean it

You have no choice in the matter

Disney Customer Service Speaker
To serve, to strive, and not to yield.

Do you have a servant’s heart?

Why?

How?

You may be the kind of person that has no choice but to serve others.

PS. We often have to experience our own selfishness, for a long time, before we transform ourselves.

Dear Son

You know the drill: lather, rinse, repeat

Every turn yields a spectacular view of Glacier National Park.

A more consistently grateful and humble life.

When?

If not today, when?

If not tomorrow, when?

If not ever, why?

You never hear people say, “I wish I would have waited longer to get started.”

A values-based organizational culture is always, literally without exception, going to outperform a latently-focused organization.

Humans want to be part of something bigger than themselves.

Failing to tap into that is the result of distracted, unfocused leadership – these leaders have created a culture by default that revolves around a constant sense of urgency…an urgency resulting from poorly executed priorities.

Leaders outspokenly focused on revenue, cost containment, and profit will never earn the commitment of those on their team who are not financially incentivized, which is the majority of all front-line employees.

Dear Son

Dear Son, don’t let this temptation stop you

Parking lot
Qdoba’s parking lot is microscopic compared to the local Theme Park parking lots.

Dear Son, don’t let this temptation stop you.

Don’t let what you can’t do stop you from what you can.

Man outside of Qdoba last night: Hey buddy, I’m kinda homeless, can you spare anything?

Dad exiting with his dinner to go: Sorry, i don’t carry cash.

Man: Ok, thanks anyway.

Dad, walking to parking lot turns around and goes back to the man: Have you eaten dinner today?

Man: No.

Dad, explaining it’s a simple children’s chicken quesadilla meal, with chips and guac.

Man: I don’t want to take your dinner.

Dad: i can buy another one.

Man: Gratefully accepts the to-go bag, grabs his small backpack, and walks away.

Dad, returning to his car notices the cashier who rang up his meal – she was watching the whole thing go down.

She seemed surprised. And maybe a little heart warmed.

So what benefited two, actually had a ripple effect for a third.

Unintentional.

That’s how powerful actions are.

Intended or otherwise.
