Simplicity is the ultimate life hack

Roadside flowers are exquisite.

Simplicity is the ultimate life hack.

In the absence of a simplicity teacher before we turn 18, we are destined to never adapt or to take forever to adapt.

Our life gets too complicated and we get overwhelmed and stressed out by our inability to simplify.

Son, i’m still learning and honing – and you’ve benefitted from my consistent teaching and observation.

Remember what you observed while we worked in Glacier. One small day-hike pack for everything i need all Summer.

Live like you mean it

Write, and live, like you mean it

Wooden steps
We’ve been sleeping on the sofa bed for many weeks, with a sheet as a door. The steps got finished while we were at College.

Nice to be home.

Nice to be alive.

Nice to be able to write about both.

What Do You Mean You Don't Know?

Worship should be ridiculously easy

Apple Store Central Park, from the stairwell.

Worship should be ridiculously easy.

Think of the material things you “worship” (maybe your phone). Think of your favorite food(s). How about your favorite vacation destination.

How about the source of all the goodness in your life.

Blessed Beyond Measure?

Death may come to any of us at any time

Glacier National Park vacation rental
Inspiration from Glacier National Park.

Humility.

Simplicity.

Love.

Family.

Friends.

A few wildflowers in a shot glass, a couple stones stacked in tiny cairns on top of a portable dishwasher in a vacation rental cabin on the shore of Lake McDonald.

Peace and contentment.

The paradox of packing everything you think you’ll need

Disney Keynote Speaker
The weight isn’t from material things.

The more stuff we have, the more we have to focus on how to carry it, store it, protect it, organize it, clean it, and possibly even how to insure it.

The paradox of packing everything you think you’ll need is that we spend so much time and effort on our stuff that we can be too distracted to see what’s in front of us.
