Disney creativity has no choice but to flourish

Disney Keynote Speaker
By the time (noon) i got to setting up the trophies on the desk (client request) the lighting wasn’t great.

Got creative to adjust the light and background. Pushed the desk away from the office window and climbed onto the porch roof and shot the photo looking in from the open office window.

Zooming in a bit, from outside on the porch roof.

Disney creativity has no choice but to flourish.

The best kept secret about Disney creativity is our over-focusing on collaboration.

We involve people in ways that would make outsider’s heads spin.

It reminds me how in yesterday’s stories, what was really happening subconsciously with me, is i was involving the event owner in a creative solution.

The easy answer was, “No, if you record anything, i can’t speak.”

But i spent days trying to NOT use the easy answer because i thought together we could “dream, create, and inspire” something remarkable.

Son, you’ve suggested i give others too much benefit of the doubt. Yes, it’s a Disney trait. When you always behave this way, you never have to look back and regret that you weren’t fair and patient enough.

Always be kind and humble

CliqueFie selfie stick
Really need to start using this. Haven’t even attempted to, so far. Selfies and personal videos are often perceived as narcissistic, and for a business owner, selfies and videos are key to marketing.

There’s a chance that the greatest, most useful, and most scalable prayers have no words.

Note: A keynote speaker is constantly challenged to balance being “the most subject-matter knowledgable” in the room and being humble.

Joy in your spirit.

Santa is looking for a rainbow deer, yes?

What did he say to evoke such reactions?

Praying i don’t get handled by a savvy salesperson

Disney Speakers
Yesterday, meeting with a global speakers bureau director from Madrid.

Praying i don’t get handled by a savvy salesperson.

Spend a lifetime in sales and you can become amazing convincing. You may also stay mediocre…time doesn’t equate to excellence, but it can.

What the buyer cannot tell from initial phone calls, emails, and one physical meeting is how much of the pitch is accurate and how much is inflated or hidden to make the offer the most compelling for the buyer.

Praying suits me.

i pray every day.

All day.

So this situation isn’t rare, it’s just different.

Please don't tell me

We should be used to rejection by now

Disney Keynote Speakers
Great Disney Keynote speakers.

The rejection stung initially, and then it hit me – this was a chance opportunity from the beginning.

Random, rare, microscopic.

While i had better than decent odds than most longshots – the Speaker’s Bureau they hired gave them their two best speaker choices – because of word-of-mouth and my pedigree, but it wasn’t enough this time.

Never let your memories be bigger than your dreams.

Go.

PS. The beauty of this was it began and ended in 72 hours.
