If The Unimaginable Happened, Would Beauty Rise Through The Ashes?

Steven Curtis Chapman and his Family went through a horrific tragedy a few years ago. Steven’s next CD, Beauty Will Rise, captured his pain, his faith, his hope.

The past two weeks, I’ve been witness to a 10-year old boy’s blossoming. Just the very beginning of the bud of his life opening. The thought of that disappearing is more than I can bear. This is what happened to Steven.

A few minutes ago, lying in bed with headphones on, I heard this precious song of unimaginable pain, and glorious hope. This post is a result of a compelling feeling to share it with you:

Okay, going back to bed. Count our blessings. We have far more than we deserve.

Unbearable Pain

Not everyone is celebrating Father’s Day today. Some are dealing with unbearable, unthinkable pain.

Steven Curtis Chapman, a Christian singer, has a large Family. One of his teenage sons accidentally killed his young daughter. Unbearable, unthinkable.

This is a song from his newest CD, Beauty Will Rise, called I Will Trust You. I pray somehow it gives those that need it, a glimpse of hope.

Beauty Will Rise

Beauty WILL Rise!
Beauty WILL Rise!

How’s your Spirit?

Do you ever feel like God is unfair?

This is called doubt. And as your Spirit grows, you allow less room for doubt. Less room for fear.

And it’s like exercise or money, it requires disciplined effort to be in sound physical, financial and spiritual shape.

The past few nights I’ve been working out Spiritually. How? By listening to Steven Curtis Chapman’s newest CD, Beauty Will Rise.

Try to imagine your worst nightmare. And then try to imagine God not being interested or caring.

Facebook Can Nurture Our Spirit

Facebook can nurture our spirit. It can! Seriously. At least I think it can.

The other day there was dialogue on my wall about someone hearing a Contemporary Christian song and how the lyrics spoke to this person in a profound way.

That’s what Christian Music is all about. Helping us stay mindful of being blessed beyond measure, even when we are not “presently in the moment”. Being present in the moment takes practice. The payoff is HUGE!

Here are a few of my top three favorite Contemporary Christian Artists:

  • Chris Tomlin
  • Steven Curtis Chapman
  • Jeremy Camp

We keep all our radio dials set at 88.3, here in Central Florida. Make it a great day, and remember, you are blessed beyond measure. Seriously. 🙂
